Israel said it killed several senior Hezbollah commanders in a strike on Beirut on Friday. The attack flattened a high-rise tower, with dozens reported dead and injured.

Among the dead, Israel said, was a Hezbollah leader accused by the U.S. of playing a role in bombings that killed more than 200 Marines in 1983. Hezbollah did not immediately confirm Israel's claim.
