I'm Michael Tomasky, the editor at TNR, and I want to tell you more about what you get when you join The New Republic.

My relationship with TNR goes back much further than when I started writing for the magazine in 2008. If you're a fan of politics, it's hard to ignore a 100-and-change-year-old publication that NPR called "the in-flight magazine of Air Force One." We were the first American magazine to report on the Holocaust, and we're also the magazine that currently publishes an annually viral Vegas-style odds report on the Nobel prize in literature.
