Hello, If you thought the 2024 election would be a slow burn, think again: Voters were back at the polls last night in New Hampshire, where Nikki Haley was on the ballot but Joe Biden wasn't. Ron DeSantis has already dropped out of the race, winnowing the Republican field down to just two candidates — Haley and Donald Trump — much earlier than usual for a primary election cycle. While Haley isn't giving up just yet, it looks like the GOP nomination is Trump's to lose at this point. This primary has been highly unusual all around. How did we get here? Ben Jacobs explores the messiness of the Democrats in New Hampshire this year — take a read, then share it with someone who might also have questions. We're also looking at the ways in which Trump and Haley would differ as president, why the polling in New Hampshire has been (literally) all over the map, what happened to Ron DeSantis's campaign, and all the winners and losers from last night. Finally, Sean and Noel are talking all things New Hampshire on today's episode of Today, Explained.
